submission guidelines

ferry me is ready for your best work. send us your poetry, prose, art, and reviews to consider for Issue 1.​

ready to submit? email your submission to ferrymemagazine@gmail.com and be sure to include the following:

- a subject line stating the title of your submission and genre (e.g.: The Wasteland_Poetry, or 2 Essays_Prose)

- work formatted in a single document (e.g.: pdf, doc, docx)

- use a readable font such as Garamond, Times New Roman, or Arial

- work must be titled in the document

- a cover letter + brief third-person biography statement

*note: submissions without cover letters and bios will not be considered for publication

Poetry – up to 5 poems at a time, no length limits. only 1 poem per page.
Fiction – up to 2 pieces at a time, 4,500 words maximum (across pieces).
Creative Nonfiction – up to 2 pieces at a time, 4,500 words maximum (across pieces).
Art – up to 5 pieces at a time. 
Reviews – currently accepting reviews of works published in 2023 and texts forthcoming in 2024.

Please note that we are open to simultaneous submissions. If your work is accepted elsewhere, please let us know immediately. We do not accept previously published work, including work that first appeared on social media.

Please note that (unless otherwise stated) we ask for First North American Rights to publish writing. Following publication, all rights revert back to the writer; we only ask that you credit ferry me magazine as the place your work first appeared.
